Rapid Prototyping parts machining is now a popular machining process in industry. This machining process is mainly for some large parts, because this kind of parts need to go through several grinding and polishing processes in the manufacturing process.
Therefore, in order to ensure its accuracy and surface smoothness, it is generally produced by means of hand plate production. So let’s get to know the process of making hand-made parts!
- The first thing is to choose the right material, for different materials the choice of tool is also different. Generally, we will choose the steel with higher hardness, better wear resistance and better toughness to be used as raw materials.
- The second thing is to determine the design requirements of the drawing and the specific size and other parameters before making the board. If the design requirements are relatively simple, then you can directly according to the cad drawings to operate; if the design is more complex, then you need to use three-dimensional software or ug software to complete the design.
- The third step is to design and manufacture the mould, this link is a very important step, it is related to the subsequent operation whether the smooth completion and the quality of the product is closely related to the problem.
- The fourth step is to deal with the surface of the plate, this step is also a very critical part; first we have to clean the workpiece on the oil and dirt and then we can start to work on its surface treatment; usually we will choose sandpaper or files and other tools to sand the surface of the plate to make it more smooth and flat for later operation and use.Of course, tools such as spray guns or flame throwers can also be used for fast machining to improve efficiency and save time.
- The fifth step is to treat the details of the panels, such as the holes, corners and so on, with the utmost care.
- The sixth step is the final assembly of the product.
- The seventh step is to check whether the product meets our requirements and the last step is to pack and ship it.
