Gear Milling
Gears are used for a wide range of purposes and are an important part of various mechanical equipment, such as machine tools, aircraft, ships and watches and electric fans used in everyday life. There are many types of gears, including cylindrical spur gears, cylindrical helical gears, helical gears, straight bevel gears, helical bevel gears and worm gears. One of the more used and simpler is the cylindrical spur gear, also known as the standard cylindrical gear.
There are two methods of processing gear tooth shapes. One is the forming method, that is, the use of the shape of the cut gear tooth groove with the exact shape of the forming milling cutter cut out tooth shape, such as milling; the other is the spreading method, it is the use of gear tool and the passive gear of the mutual meshing movement and cut out the tooth shape of processing methods, such as hobbing and inserting teeth (with hobbing and inserting knife for demonstration).
